A significant outage of Sony’s PlayStation Network (PSN) on Saturday has left thousands of gamers across the globe unable to access crucial online services, including stores and multimedia applications.PlayStation acknowledged the issue, stating on its social media accounts that they were aware of the disruptions affecting many users. As complaints surged, especially on social media platforms, gamers voiced their frustration over error messages and login failures.One user, Ramos from London, expressed his anger on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “PSN down on a Friday night is criminal.” Reports of connectivity problems began appearing late on Friday, according to the Downdetector outage-tracking service.Sony responded soon after, acknowledging the widespread complaints but without providing details on the root cause of the outage. The company confirmed that some PlayStation Network services were affected, including account management, social and gaming services, as well as PlayStation Video, PlayStation Store, and PlayStation Direct.This isn't the first time PlayStation Network has faced major outages. Last October, the network experienced similar downtime, lasting several hours.
